Countering Child Trafficking

Trafficking is endemic. It is a multi-dimensional form of violence which particularly targets children. As far as child trafficking is concerned, Pakistan is a country of origin, transit and  destination. To counter trafficking in persons, and child trafficking in particular, Pakistan has  enacted a special law the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act 2018 which criminalizes cross-border as well as internal trafficking.
